How Do I Track My Progress?
Edited

Every Beginner class at Aerial Dance has a card that is used to track foundational moves. As a student, you will mark when a move is introduced and then when you feel "proficient" in that. Proficiency includes knowing what a move is called as well as being able to enter and exit the move safely.

For Pole, you will receive more cards as you level up to track your progress, but for both pole AND aerial, you'll often learn moves that are not listed on the card. There are so many moves, transitions, and sequences that it would be impossible to have them all on a card. There is space on the card to write in additional things.

Many students choose to bring a notebook or a journal with them to class to take notes on new moves or sequences they learn in class. They will also take photos and videos of themselves in order to be able to practice these moves and sequence during class.

*When take pictures and videos, please be sure that you are the only one in frame unless otherwise agreed upon with the students around you. We prefer to only have phones/cameras out during the last 5 minutes of class so you can remain present.
